In Office 365, your online identity is composed of three parts: your Primary Email Address, your Skype (Phone) Address, and your Office 365 (Sign In) Address. To provide you with a more consistent experience within Office 365 and to prepare for migrating your Outlook/Exchange mailbox to Office 365, VUIT is aligning users' Skype and O365 addresses to match their Primary Email Address.
Please read through all notes below. Not adhering to the listed steps could result in the loss of your data.
What VUIT needs from you
Before your alignment date:
- Create a list of all future Skype meetings where you are the owner. These meetings will need to be re-issued after the change.
If a person you schedule meetings on behalf of is being affected by this alignment, create a list of all of their future Skype meetings. These meetings will need to be re-issued after the change.
After your alignment date:
- Cancel and reschedule all Skype meetings you are the owner of and/or that you scheduled on behalf of someone else.
Sign out and back in to Skype for Business on your desktop.
Sign out and back in to Skype for Business on your mobile device (if installed).
