Using SSL VPN on Linux platforms is a best-effort solution.
Gaining Access to Download the Linux VPN Client
To gain access to download and use the VPN client for Linux, you must submit a Pegasus request. You can also contact your local IT support provider to have a Pegasus ticket submitted to request your VUnetID be added to the VUIT_Network_Connect_Linux AD group.
Installation instructions for 64-bit Linux platforms
Once you have received confirmation that you have been given access, download the Network Connect client from the download page and refer to this document to install the 32-bit Network Connect client on 64-bit Linux platforms.
When instructed to connect to the VPN server, open the browser and go to vpn.vumc.org. Log in with your VUnetID and ePassword.

- Fedora 23 32 bit, 64 bit
- RHEL7 32 bit, 64 bit
- Debian 8 (compatible)
Once you have received confirmation that you have been given access, see the instructions in this document to install the Pulse client on Linux systems and to run the commands needed to initiate a VPN session.
