Vulnerability and Systems Posture Assessment (VASPA)
Service Description
The Vulnerability and Systems Posture Assessment (VASPA) service is provided to Vanderbilt University by the Security Assessment and Incident Response (SAIR) team. This service conducts vulnerability scans and technical security posture assessment against various devices, applications, or groups of devices/applications (i.e. systems) in order to reduce cybersecurity related risk associated with these entities. Based on the needs of the requester, a detailed analysis of the vulnerabilities, misconfigurations, or overall cybersecurity posture can be provided.

Requesting Service
This service can be requested in SerVU.
What You Can Request
Vulnerability Assessment Scan for a single device or multiple devices. You have the following two options:
- One-time scan
- Reoccurring scan on a defined interval
For Option 1 (one-time scan):
- Host DNS Name
- IP address
- Physical location of host
- Description of device (Operating System, System type, etc.)
For Option 2 (recurring scan on defined time intervals):
- Host DNS Name
- IP address
- Physical location of host
- Description of device (Operating System, System type, etc.)
- Requested time, day, and interval for scans.
