Admissions enhancements set for Fall 2017 applicants
The VUIT teams of Application Development and Integration (ADI) and the Project Management Office (PMO) worked alongside Academic Affairs Process and Solution Implementations (AAPSI) to implement the following enhancements to the admissions process for Fall 2017 applicants:
File Automation: Vanderbilt receives applications from several application sources including the Common App, Universal App, Slate, and Law School Admission Council (LSAC), among others. These files are now automatically downloaded and imported into the admissions system. This eliminates hours of tedious manual processing by admissions staff.
Coalition Application: The Office of Undergraduate Admissions (OUA) now accepts applications from the Coalition for Access, Affordability, and Success. ADI upgraded application processing tools to support importing coalition applications, allowing applicants to provide supplement information in MyAppVU (Vanderbilt's undergraduate application portal), process application fees, and importing documents such as high school transcripts and teacher evaluations.
