Vanderbilt IT presented at faculty development workshop
Jeff Gordon, professor of educational informatics with the School of Nursing, invited VUIT to collaborate on a Skype for Business (SfB) presentation at the Hazinski Workshop on Oct. 14, 2016. Working with Jeff Gordon, the Relationship Management and Collaboration Services teams developed a presentation that was delivered to largely School of Medicine faculty. In the two presentations, the teams focused on using SfB web conferencing features in a teaching environment.
Following the presentations, VUIT and VUMC IT Relationship Management and Collaboration Services teams set up tables representing both IT and SfB to answer questions and give deeper-dive demos of features to interested faculty.
The Hazinski Workshop is an annual event devoted to faculty development named after the late Dr. Thomas Hazinski. This year's topic was "Modern Marvels: Applying Technologies to Clinical, Research, and Educational Settings."
