Description: An initiative aimed to enhance our technology learning and development efforts within Vanderbilt University. This is the central hub for technology training offered or sponsored by VUIT. Under the collective, we have sub-interest groups that focus on specific topics, such as the Knowledge Network (basic and novice skill levels) and Power Users (advance and expert skill levels) groups.

  • Who can join?

    Anyone can join. Everyone across VU is welcome to take part in on all training offered by the VUIT Learning Collective.

  • How do I join?

    Click here to join the Microsoft Teams channel. 

  • Do I have to join the MS Team for VUIT Learning Collective?

    No, the Microsoft Teams option is mainly for collaborative communication between members who attend the session. Even if you do not want to join the MS team, you are welcome at any of our events.

  • How do I know when sessions are offered?

    We have regularly scheduled sessions on the first Friday of every month. We alternate between the VUIT Knowledge Network and Vanderbilt Power Users Group each month. You can join the Microsoft Teams channel here. We also promote all of our events in the monthly issues of Illuminate curated by VU People, Culture, and Belonging, as well as the VU events page.

  • Can I present at one of these sessions?

    Yes, if you or someone you know has a topic to share about, reach out to m.painter@vanderbilt.edu to discuss arranging a presentation.

  • Can I request a custom technology training for my team or department?

    Yes, if there is something you would like to learn and request training for, you can contact your Relationship Manager, submit a ticket to VUIT here, or email m.painter@vanderbilt.edu directly.
