What to Expect
- Privacy: Your privacy and security are top priorities. During the video interaction, only the audio will be recorded to protect your privacy. The video portion of the interaction is not recorded or stored.
- Government Issued ID: Have your valid government-issued ID ready (Vanderbilt Commodore Cards may also be used for ID). During the video call, you will be asked to show your ID to our VUIT Technician using your computer or cell phone’s camera.
- Real-time Interaction: Once the VUIT Technician has verified your identity, your request will be processed, and access will be granted/restored to our services.
- Quick and Convenient: Verification typically takes only a few minutes, ensuring minimal disruption to your schedule.
Instructions
- Prepare Your ID: Ensure your government-issued ID (e.g., passport, driver’s license) or Vanderbilt Commodore Card is within reach.
- Join the Video Call: Click the icon located on the bottom, right corner of the screen to start the video call with a VUIT Technician.
- Show Your ID: Position your ID within view of your camera with your face in frame as instructed by the VUIT Technician.
- Note: Please ensure you have a stable internet connection and a well-lit environment to facilitate the verification process effectively.
